Custom Remodeling Project
Before
A recent customer asked for assistance with an awkward living room space that needed updating. The existing fireplace and built-in configuration were outdated, cumbersome and not ideal for TV placement. The tall ceilings created lots of unusable space above the mantel. The built-ins had curved openings that didn’t match the homeowner’s style. They were looking to beautify the space with updates to the current setup.
Custom Cabinets, Fireplace and Mantel Project
Cabinets: ContractorMen removed the outdated barrel vaults and squared off the space. Beautiful new custom built-in cabinets were installed along with gorgeous stained wood inlays. (The clients provided an idea picture from a magazine they wanted to emulate.) Wasted storage space was turning into larger shelves. Flush lighting and crown molding were added at the top.

Fireplace: ContractorMen extended the top of the fireplace, filling up awkward wall space and providing an appealing focal point for the room. Trim was added to create beautiful detail and to frame the TV. The TV was mounted flush to the fireplace with no wires showing.
Mantel: In addition to a new beautiful stained wood mantel top, the surrounding trim of the fireplace was increased in thickness to provide proper scale. These measures provided one cohesive look to the whole back wall of the living room and a more substantial feel to the fireplace and the built-ins.
